Mission Statement:†††"We Promote Lifelong Learning For All!†
2016-2017:†† "Expect the Best"

Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS)

This program encourages schools to look at redefining school discipline policies and consequences for student misbehavior.  When a child can't ride a bike, they are taught, when child can't read, they are taught, and similarly this program teaches strategies for better behavior.  It rewards students who do what they should do and provides a model of reflection for those who may find themselves making a wrong decision.  The theme for the 2011-2012 school year is "Bucket Filling."  Each classroom will have a copy of this book and it will be used to teach students how to fill another's bucket rather than empty it.  Ask your child if they have filled a bucket today.
